OUR Story

We met in New York in August 2016, when Jacobo joined the United Nations team in which Noëlla was already working.
From day one, a very strong connection began between us, with a very fluid, special and original way of communicating, in our three languages: English, French and Spanish. We continued discovering each other through experiences in "our" host city, travels throughout the United States and other countries, art exhibitions, films and concerts, and dinners and long existential conversations about love; human relations; the family and its meaning; friendships; language; cultures; spirituality and religions; our tastes, hobbies and passions; the geopolitical state of our world and the positive change which we want to contribute to personally and professionally... In short, life!
And what happened is very simple, or maybe not so much – we fell completely in love. And that happened by listening to each other, looking at each other, respecting each other, laughing, dancing, singing, sharing, crying, dreaming and building...in other words, living and becoming inseparable!
So we have decided to make this beautiful journey eternal, and we are excited to share and celebrate it with our loved ones, because a little piece of our journey belongs to each and every one of you!

MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

Our marriage proposal was very intimate and meaningful. It happened on 16 July 2022, at our New York apartment, after preparing and enjoying a summer – and typically Spanish – dinner together.
We shared this special moment with our city as a witness, on our rooftop, a unique and wonderful place which has become so dear to us and our loved ones. A very magical and romantic moment that we will remember forever.

Why Seville?
We have chosen Seville as our wedding venue for many reasons!
Seville holds a special place in our hearts: Noëlla's wonderful late grandmother – Esperanza – was from Seville, and we both have been lucky to have relatives in Andalusia. Noëlla fondly remembers going to Christmas Mass at the Cathedral with her parents, Jacqueline and Yves, and other special family moments enjoying the Maria Luisa Park, admiring flamenco in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, or as a child discovering the Seville Expo of 1992! Jacobo loves Andalusia as well and he has visited Seville many times. And it is in Seville that his parents, Natividad and Francisco, made the first stopover on their own honeymoon in 1965, on their way to the Canary Islands!
The two of us have spent a memorable holiday together in Seville and other cities in Andalusia after the famous confinement of 2020. That trip through southern Spain was the best way to going back to celebrating life as we knew it, with memorable moments shared on the Guadalquivir River, and in the Casco Antiguo and in Triana!
Seville is a wonderful city which breathes history and has been enriched by many architectural and cultural styles, including a great influence from the Arab world. During that weekend together, we will take you to (re) discover the Casa Palacio Guardiola, which is an authentic work of art, a reference of the Sevillian romanticism movement; the Giralda/Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world which also includes Almohad, Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles; and the Hacienda San Juan del Hornillo, an old convent of the sixteenth century surrounded by olive trees – typical of the Andalusian land.
Seville is vibrant and full of surprises. We want to make sure we offer you an unforgettable experience on this happy occasion! See you soon!
